hela Sverige Visa alla jobb hos U.S Embassy i Stockholm Incumbent is responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing Embassy cultural and outreach programs that focus on topics such as diversity, environmental sustainability, and social entrepreneurship. The Cultural Affairs Assistant liaises with the speaker and program specialist to organize activities with think-tanks, educational institutions and NGOs. Incumbent also works with media and develops strategic plans to highlight Embassy public engagement activities. The Cultural Affairs Assistant also serves as the backup to the Information Specialist and under his/her direction assists journalists, with media reporting, outreach and engagement.
All applicants must address each selection criterion detailed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each item. Education: University degree in one of the following fields: political science, international relations, communications, journalism, economics, business, law, history, or marketing. Prior Work Experience: Two years' work experience in a position experience at an embassy/consulate, university, institute, NGO, or company dealing, with outreach and/or- media. Language proficiency: Level 4 (Fluent) Speaking/Reading/Writing English is required. Level 4 (Fluent) Speaking/Reading/Writing Swedish is required. Job Knowledge: Must have detailed knowledge of key areas of Embassy public engagement such as environmental sustainability initiatives, diversity and social entrepreneurship. Must have strong knowledge of internet and other research methods to keep informed of key issues. Must be able to develop a comprehensive network of contacts in these sectors and be able to engage directly with contacts up to senior levels. He/she must be intimately familiar with the Swedish government and, cultural, academic, media and NGO communities in order to plan events and identify, media and programming opportunities.
