We are now looking for a Corporate Medical Safety Advisor within CMO Clinical & Medical Affairs to be placed at HQ, Gothenburg.
The purpose of the position:
The Corporate Medical Safety Advisor, under the direction of the Corporate Medical Director, is responsible for the assurance of medical safety within the company.
The role handles the medical component of all product complaints and performs risk assessments in order to optimize the development and adoption of Molnlycke's products and solutions.
The individual is an MD with a solid working knowledge of clinical practice in the wound care and surgical space.
The role requires a working knowledge of regulatory requirements and close liaison with the Quality organisation.
To act as a medical monitor for regulatory and clinical documentation. To stay in the forefront of medical and clinical advances relevant to Mölnlycke
The individual must be highly collaborative, robust in challenging clinical misconceptions, and articulating medical knowledge and experience in standard of care to the wider Molnlycke community.
The role reports to the Corporate Medical Director within the M&E Affairs department of the CMO organisation.
Key accountabilities
• Primary point of contact for patient safety within Molnlycke.
• Medical assessment of product complaints and patient safety
• Risk assessment and vigilance if required in internal procedures or any guidelines assistance with safety reports, or external communications with authorities and audits.
• Point of contact for Field Safety Action Investigations
• Sign off as medical monitor on any required M&E related regulatory or clinical based documentation.
Key decisions
• Patient and clinician risk assessments related to any safety or quality issues.
• Processing of product complaints and follow up actions
Capabilities, qualifications and experience
• Healthcare profession with a medical related degree
• 3-5 years professional experience in a medical role in the healthcare industry
• Ability to work in a complex and regulated environment that is constantly changing
• Be able to communicate diplomatically with all stakeholders
• Written and oral skills with the ability to adapt one's speech to different targets
• Have a continuous improvement approach
• Be results-oriented
• Have a sense of ethics (respect for the patient and the confidentiality of their data) and compliance.
• Have medical and public health knowledge related to the field of application of the product(s)

This role requires that you will have the ability to travel as per business needs (approx. 20 days/year)
