Financial Controlling and Risk Management Customer Solution
Financial Controlling and Risk Management is responsible for consolidated financial planning and reporting for the company, risk management and energy economics controlling for E.ON Customer Solution Sweden.
As Controller Energy Economics you are responsible for the controlling of our Energy Economics business as well as coordinating and developing the related controlling processes. Within Energy Economics we handle our energy purchasing and hedging activities for E.ON Customer Solution Sweden. You use your controlling and system skills to secure balance in energy flows and related financial data as well as handling the closing and forecasting tasks related to that. You are an appreciated counterpart to both the colleagues within Energy Economics and colleagues within finance who you interact with regularly, making sure that the numbers always are right and continuously driving improvements of processes and performance.
Controller Energy Economics with placement in Malmö
In the role as Controller Energy Economics you are a key player in our department. The work of the team is characterized by high competence within finance and risk management with deep business knowledge and ability to communicate in an educational way. With transparent reporting of the business and related financials you and your colleagues influence the financial development, as well as consequences of different actions, on both short and long term.
High professionalism combined with an understanding of the relationship between finance and commodities such as power and gas are qualities we would like to see being used in the role. Good process and system experience and good capacity in a structured and conductive way of working are desired qualifications.
You will have a large own responsibility and actively drive, develop and perform various financial consolidations and reports for Energy Economics. You report to the Head of Financial Controlling and Risk Management.
The role Financial Controller includes responsibility for:
Compilation of Gross Margin for the Energy Economics business for MTP, forecasts and budget splits
Responsibility for planning and follow up of Energy Economics OPEX budget & actuals
Carry through allocation of impact of Energy Economics to the operating businesses.
Analysis and explanations on gross margin both on regular and ad-hoc basis
Monthly general ledger closing tasks, including creation of general ledger journal vouchers related to Gross Margin and intercompany reconciliations.
Monthly compilation, reporting and analysis of Power Balance including volumes and monetary amounts
In cooperation with Accounting do Mark-to-market valuations for monthly closings, forecasts and on ad-hoc basis.
Being a key person in the development and implementation of efficient finance processes for our commodity business
We expect you to have a university degree within Finance and a proven track record within finance / controlling. To be successful in the role as Controller Energy Economics you need to have very strong analytical skills and an ability to capture, understand, interlink and evaluate information which is relevant for the business you work with. You can identify root causes to problems and you can find and drive improvements. Presentation and communications skills in English and Swedish and ability to present complex matters in a simple way both verbally and written are important competences for the role. Solid experience from working with systems and tools such as SAP, Horizon, Powel and Excel is highly valued.
