Året var 2005 och e-handeln hade då länge varit otrygg. Med en idé om att erbjuda trygga och enkla betalningslösningar startades samma år företaget Klarna. Sex år har gått och vi har vuxit till ett ambitiöst och kreativt gäng på 500 stycken. Vi har blivit utsedda till Årets företag -07 (skryt), ökat omsättningen med 13 570 % (statistik) och lyckats bli marknadsledande i Norden (fakta). Klarna är idag delägt av Investment AB Öresund och Sequoia Capital - ett bolag som såg samma potential i Google, YouTube och Apple Computer, som i oss. Det tycker vi är en bra början.
Since the start in 2005 Klarna has experienced a strong growth and as the whole company is continuously expanding, bigger challenges arise. One of our main projects at Klarna during the last year has been to get control over our main processes in all departments. The project resulted in all departments having different controls that need to be performed on a regular basis. In order to keep the focus up and to continue the work in the future, Klarna needs a controller to our Risk department.
At the head office in Stockholm the Risk department is one of Klarna's key functions. It is responsible for accepting as many consumers as possible and keeping losses at a reasonable level. The team Data sources main purpose is to supply the company with external information for identification/risk assessment and see to that all controls are performed at the Risk department. The team is new so the person joining will be able to build this team together with the manager and the other team members. The controller will have ownership for all the controls at the Risk department and will report to the Data source manager.
The main tasks for this position will be:
• Making sure that the controls are in place and are performed
• Creating new controls when needed
• Train the Risk managers and team leaders how to perform the controls
The working structure at Klarna is project based, with both short and long term goals, and you will handle these projects individually as well as in different group constellations. You will often be working with new, demanding and innovative projects, but at the same time be able to fall back on re-occurring tasks as e.g. data reporting. Excel and Power Point will be your primary work tools.
We are looking for you who have graduated with a Bachelor or Master degree, in Economics, preferably with specialization in Finance or Business Administration. You have worked alongside your studies or have a few years experience from a similar position.
You are fluent in English, both written and oral. Knowledge in Swedish or other European languages is considered a merit. You have good knowledge of the Office suite, particularly Excel and Power Point, as these tools are used daily.
You are highly committed in everything you do and you are willing to go that extra mile if needed. Your analytical ability makes you able to identify and structure even the most unconventional problems and turn them in to clear recommendations. Recommendations that you often will act upon yourself, implementing your suggested solutions. Furthermore, you are a self-starter who enjoys delivering strong results upon given deadlines.
