hela Sverige As Senior Contract Manager in IAPI HUB NEU, you will, together with a team of experienced and motivated professionals, be handling a number of projects serving customers within the HUB as well as globally. Your role is to lead the provision of contract management services for medium to large-size and/or and complex projects for the Hub, ensuring all contract management activities are executed in accordance with the relevant Group/Division/Business Unit directives and instructions including Company procedures and the Contract Management Framework.
Tasks
Senior Contract Manager:
• Ensures that the portfolio of contracts in the business is in accordance with internal standard procedures.
• Develops contract strategy, based on ABB's policies, customer requirements, and the overall execution strategy.
• Identifies the contract baseline, highlights areas of potential risk, and ensures timely execution of commercial aspects in portfolio of contracts.
• Verifies that both parties to the contract have fulfilled their contractual obligations and there are no responsibilities outstanding.
• Establishes and enforces standard change methodologies in portfolio of contracts, and supports the legal department in handling formal dispute resolution, litigation and arbitration.
• Supports drafting of purchase orders, contracts and subcontracts, and ensures that they contain appropriate contract terms.
• Analyzes contract terms to highlight areas of potential opportunity and risk, such as ambiguities, omissions and conflicts, and seeks advice from the legal department to draft, negotiate and finalize agreements during the sales and project execution phases.
• Ensures that contract insurance provisions are adhered to.
• Seeks advice from the export control legal department to ensure accurate handling of all export control matters and ensures close review of all contracts and projects with regard to restrictions on exports.
• Ensures, with HR Manager support, that the area of responsibility is organized, staffed, skilled and directed.
Requirements
We are looking for an experienced contract manager with an independent and solution-oriented working style, as well as strong communicative and collaborative skills. While you have superior attention to detail, structure and organizational skills, you are also able to apply a larger, systemic view to projects. You independently take initiative, make decisions and drive projects to conclusion. In addition, you are not afraid to push back and hold others accountable as needed, while your high degree of inter-cultural sensitivity and integrity enable you to lead by influence and maintain strong relationships. You have a business-driven, pragmatic mindset and you understand that good results are achieved in cooperation with management, sales teams and internal and external experts.
The ideal candidate will have a university degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Law or an equivalent, plus a minimum of 5 years' experience related to project contracts. Excellent oral and written legal business English is required.
In this role, you will report to the NEU HUB Controller. The role is mainly Swedish based, working with our projects in the IAPI NEU HUB, project management and supply chain management team.
