hela Sverige Consulting Services is looking for a customer oriented software development manager to lead one of the consultant teams in Gothenburg. As line manager you will be part of the Consulting Services IT Architecture & Technology Management Team and report to the Senior manager. You will have an overall responsibility for all development activities related to your team and HR responsibility for 30-32 people working in different customer teams.
Main responsibilities
• Manage a team of systems analysts, application developers, process and methods coaches/specialists, database administrators and application support
• Actively support and provide our customers with skilled consultants
• HR (recruitments, salary setting, competence development, Personal Business Plan)
• Support your team members in their professional development and ability to utilize competence in line with business and personal strategy
• Finance (accountable for budgets and production results)
• Accountable to reach KPI targets and other performance targets
• Accountable for implementing directives from Global Functional managers
o processes and other working methods
o structural changes
o implementation of competence development plans
• Functional responsibilities are likely to be added to this position
Consulting Services Line Manager general profile:
Managers within Application Delivery need to have the ability to create an efficient and trustful day-to-day cooperation with our different stakeholders. Application Delivery is a matrix between global functional responsibilities and Application Delivery site responsibilities. It is a requirement on every manager in the organisation to actively cooperate in a way that bridges the potential gaps in the organisation. It is also essential that all applicants have a strong quality focus and a personal drive to satisfy customer requests.
This position requires:
• Broad IT background
• Experience from Consulting management
• Ability to build a team feeling with a distributed team with strong individuals
• Leadership experience and excellence
• Have the courage and ability to communicate visions and objectives
• Have capacity to execute against set targets
• Lead through Volvo IT values and to create an attractive workplace
• People management experience and have a genuine interest and capacity for developing people
• Ability to establish and maintain good relations with your internal partners as well external customers
• Strong communication and social skills
• Fluent in Swedish and English
• Recruitment experience
Experience recommended:
• Knowledge and experience working in the Mainframe, iBMi or Gen environment.
In this role you will be reporting to the Department Manager, Application Delivery IT Architecture, Technology and be part of the Department management team.
