hela Sverige Joining our fast growing, highly motivated international team as a Consulting Engineer, you will design, install, and integrate Procera's products in networks and datacenters owned by the largest service providers across the globe. You will work closely with Procera's Solution Engineers, Account Managers, Professional Services Engineers and Project managers and together with customer representatives you will develop standards, templates and best practices and to continuously improve our efficiency and quality of delivering our products and services.
You will plan and execute upgrades and augmentations to the existing deployment. In addition to the technical requirements listed below, the best candidates will have a flexible, can-do attitude, strong organization and communication skills and the ability to work with little supervision either independently or as part of a successful team.
Successful candidates will also be able to recognize and reinforce the importance of details like detailed and descriptive documentation, implementation plans and network designs that accompany the delivery of the solution.
The role will include:
• Short term engagements as a part of our Professional Services delivery of Installation and Integrations services and also proactive engagements (technology workshops & health checks)
• Long term engagements with dedicated Consulting Engineering supporting customers through migration or operational improvements.
• Providing both remote and on-site post-sales technical assistance and troubleshooting of Procera's products to customers and partners.
• Technical development to ensure customer confidence, trust and loyalty. This includes participation in training events and conferences to further strengthen the abilities to deliver services to our deployment base.
Required qualifications:
• At least 5 years experience in relevant software or Internet service industry with a service operational background supporting high availability 24x7x365 service provider environments.
• Solid knowledge of networking fundamentals
• IPv4, IPv6, Ethernet networks, Physical and logical network design, Optics, implementation and operation
• Deep understanding of the GNU/Linux operating system.
• Proven track record of owning customer relationships at major accounts with face-to-face customer engagement skills.
• Experience installing, integrating, testing and troubleshooting complex solutions in IP network environments.
• Strong knowledge of industry best practices for rack builds/rack and stack and cable management/dressing.
• Understanding of complex operational challenges of IT service management
• Must be capable of operating independently in field
• Strong data and analytical skills, including ability to identify key issues and engage resources to resolve
• Fluency in English
• Commitment to work in virtual teams across the globe to deliver proactive and reactive services
Desired qualifications:
• Hands-on experience with power planning and installation (including AC- and DC-powered environments).
Other:
• Travel to support projects as needed (estimated at 25-50%).
