One important assignment is to support the positioning of "IKEA in Älmhult" and the development of Älmhult as an attractive and great place to work, live and visit. It is a great opportunity to be contributing in building up the capabilities and organization of this new company. The assignment as Construction Project Manager will handle the construction projects in properties in Sweden owned by IKEA Property AB, a daughter company to IKEA Älmhult AB.
About the role
The Construction Project Manager manages all the construction aspects of specific building projects from start to finish. The Construction Project Manager provides technical and cost input to internal IKEA partners in the project process during the project development/conceptual design phase.
Other direct responsibilities include all permitting, physical and cost aspects relating to the detailed design and construction phases of the project. The Construction Project Manager also leads the external co-operation between authorities, consultants, suppliers and contractors. The Construction Project Manager will be the INTER IKEA project representative in all matters involving external counterparts.
About the assignment
Construction Project Manager is responsible for:
one or more building projects
providing support in terms of technical and construction matters in the project development phase
preparing and following up project budget estimates and time schedules for investment approval purposes
managing the detailed architectural and engineering design of the project in accordance with IKEA standards, manuals and guidelines
managing and obtaining the necessary permits that will enable construction of the project to begin
managing the procurement of external consultants, suppliers and contractors in accordance with established IKEA routines
managing all external and internal counterparts to ensure project construction is executed correctly to satisfy the project requirements of site safety, quality, time and budget
ensure satisfactory commissioning, testing, training and hand-over of technical and building systems to the building facilities staff, including all necessary documentation

About you
We expect that you have at least 5 years of experience working with project management of construction projects. You have an academic degree in civil engineering or equivalent working experience. Your role today may be Project Manager, Experienced Construction Project Manager or Consultant. Your experience is from companies in the construction industry, real estate development or any other relevant real estate business.
