Supporting SFS business and digitalisation journey requires strong and capable support from the compliance function and we are now looking for a compliance officer focused on data privacy and outsourcing regulations to SFS global compliance function.
Are you our new compliance officer for data privacy and outsourcing?
Your role:
SFS works with the three lines of defence model and as part of the compliance function you are a vital part of our second line of defence. As a part of the global SFS compliance function, you will be responsible for the following activities pertaining to data privacy and outsourcing rules:
• Risk identification and analysis including regulatory watch and changes in SFS internal and external environment.
• Advising and assisting process and risk-owners in managing compliance risks. This ranges from guidelines to integrating privacy by design already at design and early project stages. It also includes finding new and better ways of managing compliance risks and sharing those - or identifying if someone else has done this and work to share the knowledge and scale good ideas and solutions.
• Monitor and report on the measures taken and whether they are fit for purpose, effective and efficient.
• Support Financial Services business strategy and compliance strategy by supporting lean and community based co-creation models working with both large digital and transformation initiatives as well as be a subject matter expert and give your support to SFS compliance functions in our global network of local business units and entities.
You will spend the majority of your time between the large global transformation initiatives, supporting our global network of compliance professionals and supporting head office process and risk-owners navigate data privacy and outsourcing frameworks.
Who are you?
Our environment is in constant change. You will therefore need to have an adaptive mindset and a pragmatic way of working, but at the same time be able to evaluate, prioritise and act in order to support an organisation that's always moving and building as they are running.
Competence and experience:
• Very good communication skills and ability to explain technical and complex elements in practical and to the point terms to all parts of an organisation.
• Ability to see the big picture, patterns and independently structure situations and needs into concrete action plans or recommendations. Your stakeholders will know what they should act on and what they can expect from you.
• Strong integrity, self-leadership skills and drive.
• While you will stand on a strong platform and mandate, we want you to help us create momentum and inspire action through purpose, clear communication and knowledge.
Professional background:
• You will likely have a legal degree and a proven track record of managing compliance in the area of data protection and beneficially also in outsourcing regulations.
• Having worked in environments based on digital business models and outsourcing, including cloud solutions, is highly preferred.
• Experience from the financial services sector is beneficial to understand the particular environment many of our more regulated business units and local entities operate in.
• You may have worked in another compliance function, as a subject matter expert or as a consultant. You will definitely be used to manage global and multi-stakeholder environments.
The job offers international contacts with our global SFS companies and your work will be global. You must therefore be comfortable speaking and working proficiently in English. This also means that you are expected to travel from time to time once safe and appropriate to do so.
