About the role
As the Compliance Manager for Arvato in Sweden you will support and verify that the organization and the business are structured and conducted in a compliant manner in accordance with applicable rules and regulations, including GDPR and AML-regulations (Anti Money Laundering). Arvato is a consumer credit company and thus subject to supervision of Sweden 's Financial Supervisory Authority (Finansinspektionen). You will also serve as the data protection officer (DPO) of the Swedish Arvato legal entities.
The role includes several parts, e.g. to train and provide both strategic and every day advise, develop and maintain internal regulations, review regulatory compliance, identify and evaluate risks, investigate incidents and report both externally and internally to management and to the Bertelsmann Group on compliance related matters. The daily work is independent with a wide variety of tasks.
You will learn a lot about the company and get involved with all parts of the business. As local contact for the Bertelsmann corporate Integrity & Compliance department (I&C) you will also have a lot of international contacts.
This is a new dedicated position within Arvato Sweden, previously managed by Head of Legal. Now you will have the opportunity to establish improved procedures, structure and growth with the company. In doing so you will work closely and cooperate with the Compliance Manager in Arvato Finland since the Swedish and the Finish operations form part of the same business unit. Collaboration will also take place with other Nordic business units and on a divisional level. The position sits within the Legal team and you will report directly to Director Legal of Sweden and Finland, based in Varberg.
About you
You have a master 's degree in law, economy or other relevant academic background.
You also possess strong knowledge of business processes and regulations and preferably you have experience from working within the financial or insurance field. You probably have around ten years of experience from working as a company legal counsel or purely with compliance related matters. It is a merit if you previously have served as a DPO and if you have experience from reporting to Sweden 's Financial Supervisory Authority (Finansinspektionen) and/or to Sweden 's Data Protection Authority (Datainspektionen). We also foresee a candidate with solid and relevant GDPR experience, also from an operational and every day business point of view.
To be successful in this role you need to have high integrity, be structured and result oriented. It is important that you are able to communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both in speech and in writing. As a Compliance Manager, you are a team player who is at the same time motivated by taking independent responsibility for the duties. We believe that you have the ability to see the bigger picture and that you like to get things done.
