Your Challenges
The role of Human Resources is to provide HR services to business units within ABB Sweden. The focus is to drive change, to offer the development and support requested and to assure strategic HR work for the Swedish group by producing common policies within the HR area. The mission of the Compensation and Benefits Center of Expertise in ABB is to attract and retain talents and further boost the level of performance on an individual as well on an organizational level. The Compensation & Benefits Manager will be part of the European team and work in close collaboration with the ABB Group C&B Center of Expertise to support the development of the compensation, incentives, benefits and recognition programs.

The role will also require a significant amount of communication and coordination between HR Business Partners, Labor Relations, other HR functions, legal, tax and communications. You will also monitor external trends in total rewards within the region to support the offering of equitable compensation and benefits programs.
Identification and and participation in the implementation of competitive, creative and cost effective benefits will be part of the role. You will regularly partner with Global / Regional CoE in ongoing reviews of all existing benefit plans, ensuring compliance with internal guidelines and external local rules and regulations.

Other responsibilities include:
• Managing all Compensation & Benefits related items at site level in accordance with group Compensation & Benefits philosophy and policies
• Drive alignment of Compensation & Benefits related topics across different cultural environments to increase standardization & comparability within ABB
• Act as a consultant and advisor to local ABB HRBPs in all Compensation & Benefits matters
• Align potential acquisitions to ABB Compensation & Benefits standards, including change management
• Continuously benchmark current locally applied Compensation & Benefits programs with market practice in order to ensure competitiveness of our rewards programs
• Management of annual compensation review cycle and regular benefits reviews

Your personal qualities are vital for success. As Compensation and Benefits Manager, you should bring the following qualifications:
• Innovative thinker to drive efficiency processes
• Proven track record in Compensation & Benefits Management, in particular profound knowledge and expertise in the following areas:
- Analytical Job Evaluation and Job Grading
- Variable Pay Concepts
- Benefits Programs
- Pension Plans
- Reasonable knowledge of the concept and principals of sector labor agreements and their influence on compensation and benefits programs - preferably expertise gained in the sector labor agreement of the metal-working industry
• Strong change management skills and knowledge of change management principles and models
• Conceptual, analytical and result-oriented way of working, combined with the ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and with a "hands-on" attitude.
• Fluency in English and Swedish is required.

You hold a Bachelor or Master degree with specialization within HR, Legal, Economics or Finance with a minimum 10 years of experience in different general Human Resources functions, gained in an international environment, of which at least 12 years in compensation and benefits. This you combine with experience from leading and developing individuals and teams. Skills in change management, financial management, business economics, legal experience and project management work are also to your advantage. This role will be based Vasteras, with some flexibility to work from our office in Stockholm.
