You are passionate about how communication enable better business results. You forge trustful relationships with people on all levels and you have excellent knowledge and ability to turn complex concepts and processes into simple, comprehensible and relevant communication for different audiences.
You have the ability to understand the complexity of a business in a global company like IKEA and the important role communication plays within the business. You understand what it takes from communication to lead a major business transformation effort impacting several dimensions of our business and you appreciate the mix of providing both strategic direction as well as having a hands-on approach when necessary. You have the ability to communicate verbally, visually and in writing in an inspirational way with an IKEA tone of voice.
For this role we believe you have at least 10 years of both external and internal communication experience with solid experience of the retail reality. You have strong documented leadership and a passion for people. You are excellent in leading and managing transformational change through communication with the business goals, users/customers and co-workers in focus.
Your responsibilities
As the Communication Manager of the Retail Operations you will develop better business results and enable the transformation of our business through world class communication, leading a team of nine Communication Business Partners. You will work closely with business leaders who are leading the change. You will prioritise, plan and guide development of effective communication internally and externally, securing relevant content to a wide array of internal stakeholders. You will drive an open and sharing climate, being a role model of the IKEA values where our co-workers are informed, engaged and empowered. This position is based in Malmö and reports to Communication Business Partner Unit Manager. Some of your main responsibilities include:
• Be accountable for all strategic communication within and from the function supporting the retail operations and transformation in all its dimensions of the business which includes 30 retail markets
• Act as the strategic communication business partner to the Retail Operations Management
• Be accountable for a communication roadmap to enable the operational transformation
• Be responsible for the change communication process throughout the Retail Operations organization in close cooperation with the group level Business Transformation team
• Develop a communication approach that helps to position the Digital area within and beyond IKEA Group
• Proactively contribute in business strategy and planning discussions to ensure ensure alignment of communication content and strategy to ensure achievement of business goals
• Ensure communication objectives and initiatives are well anchored and understood by the management team and key internal stakeholders. Drive business outcomes by developing and leading more effective and efficient ways of communication towards relevant audiences, both internally and externally when and where relevant.
