Nordregio is currently seeking to expand its communications team with a full-time position to spearhead the dissemination of Nordic research. By joining us, you'll be promoting the Nordic Vision for sustainable development, tackling vital topics like the green transition, digital inclusion, and maritime spatial planning. Main responsibilities
Managing communications tasks in research projects- ranging from drafting communication plans, to planning report launches and seminars at major conferences, and running outreach campaigns.
Editorial work incl. news articles, opinion pieces, newsletters, and invitations.
Overseeing our website and social media strategies.
Hosting webinars and workshops - digital and physical events.
Visual content development - basic photo/video editing, and graphic design.
Requirements
The position requires a bachelor's in communications, journalism, or a social science degree.
Communication Advisors are expected to have at least five years of relevant experience in communications, such as strategic communications, editorial work, website and social media management.
Good command of Office, web publishing systems, and other digital communications tools.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to take a creative approach to complex problems.
Highly motivated with the ability to work independently, as well as the skills to work effectively in a cooperative research environment.
Well-developed communication skills including the ability to network and work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders and partner organisations.
Ability and willingness to contribute to Nordregio's commitment to fostering a supportive and equitable workplace.
The applicant must be fluent in English as well as a Nordic language.
What we offer
The position starts as soon as possible - or subject to agreement. Nordregio offers contracts with a maximum length of four years. Subject to further agreement, the contract can be extended for up to four additional years. If you are currently employed by the State in a Nordic country, you are entitled to a leave of absence from your present position for the duration of your employment at Nordregio according to the agreement "Avtale om rettstilling for samnordiske institusjoner og deres ansatte". Candidates relocating from another Nordic country to Sweden are offered a relocation package as well as a monthly salary addition.
