Commodity Buyers - Marketing & Advertising
Volvo Cars Purchasing is in search of two Commodity Buyers to join our Indirect Purchasing department. The positions are temporary but span over at least one year and they provide good opportunities for a continous future at Volvo Car Corporation. As a Commodity Buyer for Marketing Services you will be responsible for sourcing of services to Marketing, Sales and Customer Services.
Volvo Cars Purchasing is ultimately responsible for the selection of all Volvo Cars' suppliers and has the responsibility for the procurement of all production and non-production material and services to Volvo Cars. The supply of materials and services- to the right quality, in the right quantity and on time- is essential to the smooth running of the company and to match our customer's expectations.
Job profile:
• Responsibility to identify sourcing needs
• Carry out market analysis and benchmarking studies
• Performing supplier evaluation and negotiations
• Leading of supplier selection activities
• Finalising contracts
• Build, develop and maintain competitive supplier strategies (commodity strategies)
Your profile:
• University degree or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 3 years work experience of Purchasing or Sales, with at least 2 years experience within the Marketing area
• Marketing and Advertising experience
• Ability to drive for results and passion for business
• Analytical thinking and able to challenge status quo
• A positive approach with a drive for commercial results
• Enjoy working in team and interact with people
• Excellent communication skills in English and Swedish, oral and written
Employment terms:
• Type on employment: Temporary contract
• Start date: 2012-08-20 or 2012-09-10
