Primary responsibilities for this position include driving all aspects of sales activities and strategies across all products. This includes including responsibility for continuously refining, managing, and implementing a commercial business plan to achieveing projected sales and profitability through the generation of new business from existing and new customers.

• Overall responsibility for the development and execution of Damco's sales strategy towards the Swedish and Finnish market.
• Manageing and coaching a team of 8 direct reports located in Gothenburg, Stockholm and Helsinki.
• Working with other functional areas to develop unique products and services.
• Ensure sales performance management and maximize earnings, growth, revenue and /or profitability through strong leadership, effective hands on management and best-in-class services.
• Ensures optimal activity management and account management to truly understand customers and their needs.
• Constantly manage and assess the area 's customer portfolio ensuring sustainable contribution levels are delivered and ensuring a healthy pipeline.

You will be part of the Swedish management team and report directly into the Area CCO. In this role you contribute to wider decision making including the development of practices, processes and procedures.

• Significant relevant industry experience from the Swedish market required; international tenures is an advantage
• An experienced commercial leader having experience of running both a local and distant sales organization.
Strong communication skills.
• An excellent track record from sales and business development.
• Solid forwarding logistics product knowledge with an ability to identify customer needs and formulate the appropriate winning value proposition.
• Ability to develop and execute on commercial strategy, define tactics and establish milestones and drive the organization to successful delivery of the strategy.
• A role model in applying modern sales methodologies and tools.
• A coaching mindset is a prerequisite as day2day coaching of direct reports is an imbedded part of the sales excellence program.
• Ability to work and collaborate effectively across a global matrix environment with the agility to be resourceful, creative, and maintain flexibility to engage multiple parties across functions and geographies.

Fluent in English and Swedish is preferred.

The position is intended with location in Gothenburg but flexible across Sweden for the right candidate.
