hela Sverige The Volvo Group is looking for a senior tax technology expert to take the role as Chief Tax Technology Officer (CTTO) and join the Group Tax Department at the Volvo Group Headquarter in Gothenburg, Sweden.
The Group Tax Department has the overall responsibility for all tax matters relating to the operation of the Volvo Group. This senior position offers you an excellent opportunity to work with a broad variety of interesting and challenging issues at one of Sweden's largest companies. In your role, you will be part of a global team of about 45 highly experienced tax experts, out of which 14 are located at the Headquarter in Gothenburg.
Our Group Tax Function plays a critical role in ensuring that our global operations are compliant with tax laws and regulations, and otherwise follow the Group's tax policy and strategy. The CTTO will be a key member of this function and will have the opportunity to work with a talented and dynamic team of tax professionals.
As a CTTO, you will play a critical role in driving and overseeing the development, implementation, and management of tax technology strategies and systems across the group. This is a new position where you will be responsible for developing and leading a dedicated tax technology team and collaborating with a large number of tax specialists worldwide. You will also work cross-functionally with many different parts of the organization to ensure that our tax processes are efficient, effective, and compliant.
Responsibilities:
Develop and drive the implementation of tax technology strategies and systems that align with the group's tax and IT strategy as well as the group's business objectives
Develop and lead a global team of tax technology experts, providing guidance, mentoring, and support as needed
Identify opportunities to improve tax processes and procedures through the use of technology
Support in implementing tax compliance and reporting solutions
Collaborate with tax, finance, and IT departments to progress the tax technology agenda and ensure the accuracy and completeness of tax-related data
Build and maintain relationships with other stakeholders across the group to ensure that tax technology initiatives align with the group's tax strategy and the overall business objectives
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in tax, accounting, finance, information technology, or related field. A Master's degree is preferred
10+ years of experience in tax technology, tax compliance, or related field
In-depth knowledge of tax laws and regulations in multiple jurisdictions
Experience with tax technology software solutions and implementation
Strong leadership and management skills with a proven track record of leading people within and outside the own organization
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders across the organization
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Experience working in a multinational organization
Fluent in English, Swedish is a plus
