We are looking for a Chief Digital Officer (CDO), who is a strong sponsor of driving change through overcoming organizational boundaries and collaboration.
The role we're seeking to fill is both strategic and tactical, where the Chief Digital Officer (CDO) reports to the Chief Technology Officer and is a key member of the Product Creation Executive Team.

What you'll do
You will lead a global organization of collaborators, dealing with ambiguity and change daily. This organization aims to create transparency around our digital portfolio and work with our key stakeholders actively to drive results and transformation.
We expect you to be an agile executive leader, enabling the organization to put user experience first and leverage data as a strategic asset. You are also aware of the challenges and opportunities of moving a large organization from traditional project management into an agile mindset and way of working. You are an influential Digital and Consumer voice across Volvo Cars but also outside the organization where you are expected to work with our strategic tech partners, and also network with start-ups, innovation networks and other tech companies.
We are looking for a CDO that enables innovation and growth, and at the same time is curious about where we're coming from. Together, we will share our purpose to provide Freedom to move in a personal, sustainable and safe way.
Who you are
We are looking for an experienced, executive leader that is self-aware and thrives when leading through purpose. We want to see a strong desire to bringing out the best in people; using strengths of diversity and co-creation to develop talents that can come from anywhere in the world.
We value leadership that creates clarity, shows courage and empowers the team. You are comfortable to lead and inspire even when things are not certain, or the way forward is not clear.
This role must carry relevant experience within technology and software competence as well as commercial business models.
You have successfully developed and led global technology organizations (ideally, you carry an engineering degree). Also, you have been a key player in transforming traditional business/sales models into the digital world.
Collaboration is key for success and this role requires excellent stakeholder management skills. Ideally, you have developed these skills in both, a start-up (like) and a more corporate environment.
To round things up: You have proven how to develop successful data-driven strategies and put them into actions. You have created changing environments and know how to provide consultation to other executive leaders.
