You will help making the world a better place by contributing to improve the environmental impact (exhaust emissions and CO2) of powertrains of the Volvo Group! This is us, your new colleagues at Powertrain EngineeringWe are proud product owners for components, systems as well as complete powertrains. We are accountable for the lifecycle management of our products, from advanced engineering, through product development into the maintenance phase. The majority of our powertrain components are traditional combustion engines, after treatment systems, transmissions and axles however the importance of e-mobility components is growing every day. We stand in front of significant challenges - where reducing transport emitted CO2 emissions is one of the biggest.The Certification & Compliance Department at Powertrain Engineering is a global team of around 35 professionals with presence in Sweden, France and USA. Its mission is to drive all powertrain emission and on-board diagnostics certification and compliance activities to ensure that our products are fulfilling all corresponding legal requirements and are compliant over time. Certification & Compliance Sweden is a diverse, experienced and highly skilled team with strong integrity and a great passion for sustainability. We are now looking to expand our team with a certification and compliance professional with a special focus on OBD. As your manager, I will be supporting you in your personal development. There are many career opportunities in different areas within Volvo, both in Sweden and internationally. Responsibilities / Main tasks In your role you will be responsible for powertrain certification and compliance activities with a specific focus on the OBD area. You will support projects with OBD legislative guidance, plan and execute OBD certification and prepare documentation. You will also be involved in OBD related topics for products in the maintenance phase (i.e. after start of production). Communication is a key skill, as clear communication is important both internally in the close cooperation with engineering, but also externally, when discussing with technical services/type approval authorities. To be successful, you utilize your networking abilities to create relationships in the organization. We believe that you have a strong focus on the customer and personal integrity needed to ensure correct certification and the compliance of our products.
