We are now looking for a Certification Engineer.
Description
World-wide, interest and developments in sustainable transport are growing fast. Legislation and regulatory requirements are forced to develop fast as well, to keep up with technological innovations and developments, in particular for electric vehicles.
You will be part of the department Regulatory Affairs, part of Nevs Quality department. Regulatory Affairs is responsible for approving product compliance with relevant regulations and keeping the organization informed on the latest developments in international (technical) legislation. Regulatory Affairs carries out activities for product type approval certification as well, such as certification tests.
A Certification Engineer is involved in all phases of a car project. The role involves:
• Follow international developments in relevant (technical) regulations and legislation, and setup and keep an efficient database
• Select, prioritize, interpret and analyze regulatory and technical information
• Communicate relevant information on a regular basis within the organisation, in a suitable way
• Keeping the organization aware and up to date of (future) international regulatory developments relevant for automotive industry and support project organization with regulatory issues
• Prepare technical documentation relevant for vehicle type approval certification activities, such as applications, plans and reports
• Prepare, attend and report relevant certification tests.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
• Engineering education (BSc) preferably in electronics or have equivalent experience in a similar role
• Experience in similar role in product development, preferably automotive industry, minimum 5 years
• Experience with Excel and programming Excel macros
• Knowledge of vehicle type approval regulations is a merit
• Fluent in English both spoken and written
• Driver license B
To be successful in this role, you need to have:
• Genuine interest in technique and good technical understanding
• Ability to understand, summarize and communicate technical information
• Ability to work autonomously and be able to prioritize
• To be creative, solution-oriented and open minded.
• To be easy to work with for both internal and external "partners"
• Have good communication skills.
