The market consists of business critical solutions for the leading Mobile Telecom Operators in the US, South America, Asia and Europe. The Card Application Developer works in the application development team. The tasks encompass working closely with product management to define applications to be part of the SmartTrust Application Portfolio. After definition of the application the Card Application Developer will develop, document and oversee the launch of the applications. For definition of applications, market knowledge from the Asian market is very valuable.
The Card Application Developer will develop applications for both the WIB and Java Card environments. One aim is to be the company's center of competence for applications that are close to the card by building competence in close cooperation with card vendors. This knowledge shall enable implementation of the WIB execution environment itself as a java applet to be owned y SmartTrust.
The Card Application Developer shall also work with defining new extension functionalities for the WIB environment and be able to develop these for deployment on live cards.
Qualifications:
Personal
The Card Application Developer shall have excellent communication skills in written as well as spoken English and be able to present technical solutions to be comprehensible.
Professional
Mandatory: Proven expertise from WIB application development and familiarity with the toolchain available for the development, testing and deployment for this type of applications. Additionally, knowledge about the server components in the WIB environment are required.
Experience from Java Card application development and the development environments and toolchain available for this development as well as the infrastructure servers for this kind of applications.
Proven ability to find the inventive step and successfully provide material for successful patent applications to protect new ideas.
In-depth understanding of the SIM Toolkit interface between SIM card and phone, both for 2G and 3G.
Firm understanding of the SEA and Indian mobile market needs and culture
Desirable: Experience from card-based PKI applications and alternate security solutions.
