Car Line Manager

As Car Line Manager you will be responsible for securing the competitiveness of our products along the life-cycle. You do this by having a good understanding of the brand- and business strategies of LYNK & CO as well as market and competitor development. You will get input and requests from among others our sales and aftersales organizations on needs as well as generate needs based on internal analysis. You will be responsible for relaying and securing the timely delivery of product updates based on those needs, for both future cars as well as cars in market.

A keen sense of business and how to manage a complex offer structure in a highly competitive consumer market is vital. Strong analytical skills and financial understanding is taken for granted in this position. The ability to intellectually move quickly between discussions on numbers, customers, products and business will be valuable. And mostly, that you enjoy being part of a great team and that you like responsibility and quick decisions.

The position is based in Gothenburg, with a global responsibility. Some travel will be required.

Responsibilities and tasks

- You will be the "customer" of the products developed within the Geely Auto group including CEVT and in that capacity you will be responsible for developing the requests and definition of what those products should be.
- Ensure that the product fulfils the initial definition in regards to attribute levels, features, etc.
- Consolidate and manage product requirements globally coordinating Europe, US and China needs.
- Lead the development of the PAP (Product Attribute Profile) in close collaboration with PPL and R&D.
- Continuously refine the content of the car to optimize the product offering
- Update product requirements in order to stay competitive on the market and follow up status of the product to ensure that it is adequate to the initial request
- Follow development of main competitor products and technology development, initiate request for new product content
- Secure requests for new products as well as the continued competitiveness of the current products over the lifecycle.

Requirements

- Academic degree or the equivalent working experience
- Good understanding of and interest in the car market combined with a strong technical background
- Good analytical capability to collect data and come to conclusions
- Familiar with market/consumer research methodologies
- Ability to draw and present conclusions
- Experience from product management of complex consumer products and service offers
- Ability to transform customer and market needs and wants into product requests and requirements
- Strong excel and business analytical skills, financial focus, customer value understanding
- Team player with a "can do" attitude
- Strong business acumen
