hela Sverige Combustion Systems calibration group is responsible for the calibration of engine related functions for Volvo Group heavy duty engines. The team consists of 14 passionate engineers and we are now looking for a driven calibration engineer to expand the team.
In this role you will develop data settings for our products with the aim to deliver calibrations with world class fuel consumption and driveability. The work is done in engine test cell in our lab. In vehicle on site and on expeditions in warm and cold climate. Collaboration and team work is key to success. The development is conducted closely together with the OBD, EATS and vehicle calibration teams, function developers, design groups and the engine development laboratory.
Virtual calibration and DOE based tools are important in our daily work to meet our goals.
The future powertrains requires development of advanced control strategies together with an optimized hardware. You will be an important contributor in this development.

Qualifications:
Master of Science in combustion area, energy or in control system is preferred
Engine testing and engine calibration
Knowledge of engine certification and OBD is a merit
Experience in DOE based calibration methods, calibration tools and MATLAB/Python
Fluent English (both spoken and written)
License for truck (C/CE) is a merit
You have a positive attitude and a drive to improve and deliver. You are also willing to cooperate and do some extra for the team.
Depending on the candidate 's background the role and tasks can be adapted and flexible to some extent.
