Senior CAE Engineer for Powertrain Systems Simulations
CEVT Powertrain Engineering in Gothenburg Sweden has developed a simulation tool based on GT-Suite to work on powertrain concepts in a vehicle environment. The Powertrain Systems Simulation tool is already capable of making complete hybrid vehicle simulations and support concept development of powertrain components.
We are looking for a Senior CAE Engineer for working on developing the tool, providing technical guidance for other team members, leading simulation activities as well as making simulations.
Responsibilities/Tasks
As a Senior CAE Engineer working with 1-D simulations, you will analyze powertrain systems with customer attributes in focus. Components like engine, transmission, battery, electric motor and cooling systems are all important to meet various legal and customer requirements in different driving conditions. Your main task will be to use and support the development of the simulation tool, and to work on concept development of new powertrain systems including engine, transmission and hybrid components.
* Develop the Powertrain Systems Simulation tool into more areas
* Produce and analyze simulation results using 1D simulation tools for vehicle attribute evaluation
* Develop powertrain component models in GT Suite
* Correlate simulation results and measurement data
* Coordinate the simulation results with project teams and other CAE teams at CEVT / GEELY and VCC
* Act as Technical Supervisor for the team members in our Swedish as well as Chinese office (Hangzhou Bay)
* Communicate results and concept proposals with line management, powertrain and vehicle project teams at CEVT / GEELY / VCC as well as suppliers.
Needed Competencies/Skills
* Ph.D. or M.Sc. in Mechanical-, Applied Physics-, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or similar.
* Minimum 10 years of experience from similar work tasks within the automotive area
* Broad knowledge of 1D-simulations in conventional as well as in hybrid vehicles
* Experience of GT-SUITE in general; focus on GT-Power and GT-Drive
* Fluent in English is mandatory. Swedish or Chinese language is a strong merit.
* Excellent communication skills and team-worker.
* Cultural awareness; especially China - Sweden
Software and IT:
* GT-SUITE (Power, Cool, Lube, Drive etc.) and/or AVL Boost/Cruise or similar (requirement)
* MS Office
* Database management software: e.g. SVN
* Optimisation tools
* Matlab Simulink is a merit
