CAE Engineer
The product development within Kongsberg Automotive is subject to global competition, with high demands on our performance. As a CAE Engineer, you are part of a creative team of approximately 10 Engineers working with virtual validation.
Our objective is to be in the global frontline of virtual product development where CAE is having an increasing impact on our designs. Working towards global customers and suppliers means a great portion of international contacts. You are part of a functional team that works with the full range of simulations from concept studies to product validation and correlations between real life testing and virtual analysis.
Job profile
As a CAE Engineer, you will be working as a technical expert in the development lifecycle, from concept to production. You will be involved in customer projects to make sure that our products exceed customer expectations in terms of both performance and cost aspects.
The CAE Engineer is a key person in the development of new products and you will work towards many different interfaces both within Kongsberg Automotive but also towards customers and material suppliers. Our ambition is to show the complete product characteristics with virtual methods.
Required qualifications
• Master degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or similar.
• Knowledge in electromagnetic compatibility and electromagnetism is meritorious.
• Theoretical knowledge within the field of solid mechanics.
• Experience with Finite Element FE simulation.
• Experience of plastic material properties.
