What do we offer?
In the group EDS components and CAE we are responsible for components included in the wiring harness deliveries such as distribution boxes, cable channels and connectors, including the inlets for HV vehicles. We are also responsible for the CAE tools used by EDS suppliers and for CAE support. We are now looking for a new component engineer!
If you are interested in gaining competence in plastic and sheet metal design as well as developing knowledge in the growing technical area of autonomous drive and hybrid cars, this is the place for you to prosper. You will get the opportunity to work with new solutions and gain a large network of people from different countries and suppliers.
What you'll do
Your main responsibility will be working as a mechanical designer, finding and developing solutions for the harness components such as Cable Channels, Grommets, Boxes, and Brackets.
You will lead the work in finding new solutions to use in new or existing vehicle projects, you will be responsible for BOM/CAD, MIP, Surface material and MCI/MTC. You will be in daily contact with purchasing and EDS project responsible, as well as suppliers, mostly regarding timings and technical updates.
All the work is done in an Agile way, you will be working in a scrum team closely together with the Product Owner and the scrum Master and the other team members. You are also expect to contribute to the team 's development regarding feature templates, 3DPMI and other improvements, constantly striving to enhance the competence in the team.
Do you fit the profile?
You have several years of experience from working with component design in Catia V5 and are well versed in working with templates and design both in concept and industrial phase.
We see that you have a University degree in Engineering or equivalent working experience and your English is fluent (written and spoken). Experience in Teamcenter and KDP would be meritorious as well as knowledge about Volvo Cars product development process.
