We are hiring a new Business IT Support person for south of Sweden and Denmark.
Business IT Support is a part of Nordic IT Helpdesk that working closely with Operational Teams to support and facilitate the relationship between IT and the Business.
You will Co-ordination of unit openings and closings in relation to IT deployment activity.
Regionally manage the delivery of central IT projects within strict timescales and to agreed budgets.
MAIN DUTIES
1. Developing a strong business partnership with Operations allowing them to use IT as an enabler.
• Identify Business specific IT requirements and priorities accordingly on a site by site basis.
• To focus particularly on support for the Denmark, Malmö and Goteborg But you will also support the Nordics.
• Facilitate IT requests from Regional ODs and their OMs for business enhancing solutions.
• Assist in the identification of core system development requirements in accordance with business objectives.
2. Attend SSP Operational units
• Provide an IT service to troubleshoot & resolve issues which can only be delivered with an on- site presence or with a specific knowledge of the local IT configuration.
• Ensure user compliance to the IT Duty of Care Statement - to safeguard against unnecessary damage to the IT equipment and so mitigating down-time & cost.
• Liaison with external IT departments e.g. airports, facilities management companies.
3. Manage, participate and coordinate both strategic and tactical projects as required.
• Consultation with the major stakeholders to design, test and pilot new technologies to meet business requirements.
• Manage & deliver IT projects against a set plan & budget to achieve maximum business benefit.
• Complete and communicate project updates, progress and status reports throughout the business and be present at key meetings as required.
4. IT Deployment
• Support the planning, design and implementation of all IT infrastructure & equipment for new units, re-brands and other unit moves & changes. Attend pre-start, site & handover meetings with Project Department & Contractors.
• Manage request for in-unit hardware solutions; including formulation of the business case, facilitating the business sign-off, installation and ongoing cost implications around the business
e.g. printers, data storage.
• Producing quotes, purchase orders, submit IT equipment order lists and provide final costs.
5. Analyse and investigate trends in systems faults
• Use tools available to get statistical data and identify root causes of faults.
• Suggest ways to improve and ensure efficient solutions can be identified.
• Work proactively to reduce overall support calls
• Focus on reducing hardware maintenance calls - through analysing trends and providing recommendations.
6. Attend Business Systems Team and IT Departmental meetings.
• Collaborating as a team to achieve a consistent service across the Nordics
• Ensuring involvement and participation in key team decisions.
• Feedback to the team on key IT issues highlighted within individual regions.
• Participate in IT departmental meetings to give project status updates and feedback from the business.
Key Skills and Attributes
Essential:
• A good working knowledge of SSP core business systems and processes is essential to the role.
• People management skills are critical and experience of managing people highly desirable.
• IT literate, confident and enthusiastic about technology
• An excellent communicator at all levels from unit manager to senior directors.
