The Business Development (BD) Leader for Nordics is a pivotal role in Nielsen's growth strategy. Focused on accelerating organic growth, you will be part of developing our longer term strategy, defining new growth areas for Nordics, as well as looking for potential partnerships & acquisitions. You will also be responsible for generating revenue opportunities and fast growth by penetrating new client segments with a highly profitable, syndicated product portfolio and be globally responsible for one of our biggest clients in Nordics The role is part of the Nordic Management team and reports to the Nordic Market Leader.
Responsibilities and tasks:
• Part of defining Nordic short and longer term strategy jointly with the Nordic Market Leader and Nordic Leadership team
• Responsible for driving some of the new strategic initiatives
• Globally responsible for one of Nielsen's biggest Nordic clients - supporting the client in their strategic development, handle negotiations with the client and be the relationship builder on executive level, as well as creating leads and upsell
• Develop go to market strategy for new client segments and speer head meetings creating new leads
• Own individual revenue target for the global client and the new client segment
• Monitor progress against revenue target and other agreed strategic initiatives
The Person
We are looking for candidate that can combine strategic thinking with client focus.
Who loves selling and be with clients but at the same time also can think longer term and set strategic goals for the Nordic business:
• Has 4-6 years' experience in working on similar positions.
• Is passionate about sales, revenue growth, and new business opportunities
• Relationship builder & Client focused
• Is skillful in driving client interest and new business through creative proposal of Nielsen capabilities
• Has ability to create new leads
• Strategic Thinker & strong business mindset
• Is results orientated, competitive, and a high-energy self-starter
• Is a Strong negotiator and a deal closer, comfortable in challenging and influencing client at all levels - as well as internally in the organization..
• Is an independent worker, who also contributes to the overall objectives of a team
• Has good understanding of Market Research, preferably of Nielsen products
• Experience and network from other industries like travel & finance an advantage.
• Has excellent communication skills
• Is self-motivated, confident, highly stress resistant
• Is fluent in English and Swedish
