Job Description
The indirect procurement team is responsible for the procure to pay process within IKEA Marketing & Communication. We deliver to appointed sourcing processes, supplier relations, being a partner towards business and enabling functions. Our team is now looking for a Sourcing Specialist.
As a Business Developer you will be in lead for securing high quality media products at low cost, using compliant business processes and large-scale sourcing from authorized suppliers in Indirect materials and services.
You will influence the procurement team and support procurement manager in inspire and empower the team and co-workers to perform to the best of their abilities and continuously develop in their assignments.
Examples of responsibilities in this role could be:
• Set the business direction with clear Action Plan(s) to improve and develop business and supplier performance, and deliver to the Business Plan, using the Supplier Development Process
Secure planning and execution to fulfil the sourcing assignment and pro-actively work together with the business to integrate opportunities and act on deviations
Accountable for professional and long-term relationship with suppliers through IKEA way of doing business, based on a shared business model, trust and transparency
Identify and start-up new suppliers according to business needs through the business development team and/or by giving assignments to New Business teams
Contribute to identify and act on cross-regional synergies & opportunities
At any time, act as an ambassador of IKEA values and Role Model for Fact-based Business leadership
Qualifications
The person we 're looking for is someone that has a strong business drive and a result-oriented mind. With strong self-leadership and an aspiration to lead others you enjoy supporting business leaders as well as your team members. You like to engage in a challenge leading or contributing to business value and good solutions, always with both business and people in mind.
You 'll need:
A degree in Purchasing/business administration or equivalent work experience.
Deep Knowledge of supplier capabilities and material, service and production
Deep knowledge of Supplier Development Process (SDP) and IKEA Purchase Development Process (PDP); Good knowledge of IKEA Business Plan Process & Develop Product Offer Process (DPOP)
Good finance knowledge
Deep knowledge of industry and market specific conditions and macroeconomics trends
Strong communication and negotiations skills
Legal knowledge (understanding of purchase agreement package)
Knowledge of industry and market specific conditions and macroeconomics trends
Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
