For that reason, we're now expanding the controlling team and we are looking for an ambitious and analytical Business Controller to join the R&D business controlling unit for Asia.

Your role
In your role as a business controller, you will get to contribute to the team with the following tasks
• Analysis in different stages in the project, status reporting, and follow-up
• Together with line organization identify cost-optimizing measures.
• Reporting and presenting results to all levels of management and other stakeholders.
• Participate in and manage method and process development with regard to cost controlling to improve our understanding of product cost.
• Cross-functional cooperation within Scania
• Financial planning, reporting, and analysis of outcomes
• Do forecasting work, project cost follow-up
• Analysis and monitoring of operations
• Pre calculations for development projects
• Continuously drive development for more efficient flows and processes by digitalization.
• Actively prepare and present decision-making for process owners and decision makers within R&D.
Being a dedicated member of the R&D controlling team, you will challenge and support your colleagues with your financial expertise, coordinate follow-up of project expenses, investments etc.
Your profile
To be successful in this role, you must have the ability to create your own conditions, and be one step ahead in terms of strategy and vision combined with a strong analytical ability and a strong will to achieve significant results together with the rest of the R&D controlling team. You see opportunities when others see obstacles and get energy from the challenge. Good financial competence is a must. You need to be able to freely switch between details and a holistic perspective. You are probably an experienced person with deep relevant financial knowledge who has shown that you can handle complex issues but want to challenge and develop yourself in a disruptive environment.
As an individual, you are independent and driven, an excellent communicator, and a team player. You naturally focus on continuous improvements and fight for achieving successful results.
You have a degree in Business and Administration with a profound interest in technical matters or a degree in Industrial Engineering and an interest in finance.
Knowledge of product development processes is meriting as well as knowledge of the automotive business. This combined with your high degree of social competence enables this job to be a success for you!
You are fluent in English and Swedish. If you can speak Mandarin Chinese, it is a merit.
Your location
The China project team is currently based in Södertälje. Business trips abroad to China must be considered with individual solutions for shorter or longer periods.
R&D China will be located in Shanghai where our first employees will be relocated during this winter. A part of the organisation will stay in Södertälje.
