Outbound is the networks which directly connects our Production and Logistics organisations with our end customers. Therefore information transparency and understanding is the fundament to manage & develop our operations.

This is a new role and a new opportunity to really make a controlling journey. We know where the journey starts but where it's end is up to you!

The Outbound Logistics department is recently reorganised and moved into OI department. Now Outbound and Inbound are in the same department in order for Scania to have full synergies. The turnover for Outbound is more than 1,5 Billion SEK 2017.

The task is to, from an overall perspective, start to analyse, structure and build a new understanding for the global Outbound cost. In order to do that you will have a lot of contacts within the Outbound department. Understanding of business is a key part in order to succeed. The position has contacts areas within Sales and Marketing, Production units and Logistics, and the role places high demands on communication and pedagogic skills.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

Financial statements, reporting and analysis of outcomes
Run forecasting work
Analysis and monitoring of operations
Continuously drive development for more efficient flows and processes
Coordinate the controlling work of Outbound Logistics against our European and Latin American end assembly units
Actively prepare and present decision making for process owners and decision makers within Inbound Logistics
Support the Head of Outbound and Head of Business control to continuous improvement and development of support tools, routines and systems to meet new environment and demands
From an overall view, the controller shall take active part in strategic discussions and improvement work as well as being the driving force for continuous improvements in the business
Bring the economic perspective to influence attitudes and behaviour in the Outbound organisation.
Make sure Scania has the correct Outbound revenue related to costs when invoicing trucks

As a Business Controller, you are in the located in the outbound engineering (OIO) and are responsible for supporting management with analyzes, calculations and follow-up. You will have many contact areas, both with colleagues in logistics and in Scania's central staffs as well as other production units.

You have an education in Economics and Business Administration or in Industrial engineering with probably several years relevant work experience. To fully succeed in this role, you should be an outgoing and communicative person capable of working at a high pace and enjoying having many contacts. As a person, you are careful and master the details of follow-up and analysis while being analytical and capable of holistic thinking.
