The Business Applications group is included in the Workshop Systems section, whose primary task is to deliver system solutions to Volvo Car Group workshops globally. We are responsible for about 20 different applications with users at dealerships, sales companies, workshops, internally at Volvo Car Group and some applications are used directly by Volvo owners. The group consists of 13 members with the vision to fulfill our customers' needs and to continuously improve our way of working. Our main delivery is VIDA, but we also manage other applications such as TIE, PIE, CarCom and NEVIS.
As Business Application Manager you will govern business and user requirements through application development and maintenance, including developing business requirement specifications. You will express service level requirements towards IT and follow up the requirements. Furthermore, you will work with identifying areas of improvement and drive development needs including funding requests related to the application and the processes it supports.
Main responsibilities
• Governs business and user requirements through application development and maintenance, including developing business requirement specifications
• Identifies areas of improvement and drives development needs including funding requests related to the application and the processes it supports
• Secure that acceptance tests are performed
• Support the work of balancing Business Service Levels Agreements towards IT
• Define adequate security and controls ensuring that the application adheres to IT Security requirements, for example with regards to control of access rights, compliance with the Global Information Standards (GIS) program and completion of Application Control Reviews (ACR)
• Ensure administration of user access rights to the application such as clean out nonvalid access rights, inform about increased or decreased need for licences and users to IT
• Perform or secure user training and compilation of user documentation
• Budget responsible for the application
Required qualifications
• Master of Science in Electrical, Computer or equivalent education
• Documented experience in project management or project coordination
• Good knowledge within the electrical area, particularly within the software area and fault tracing
• Understanding of the business processes supported by the application and how the application interferes with the business processes
• Experienced in business requirement specification development
• Good knowledge about change management processes
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written
• Technical experience from Volvo Car Group: R&D, Testing or VCCS is highly meritorious
