The arena
Sweden Operations is one of the largest pharmaceutical manufacturing sites in the world. The site supply to 100 different countries and counts for ~40% of the total volume of AstraZeneca's sales, corresponding to $10B in sales revenues. The site has ~3000 employees. The site is also the primary launch within the AstraZeneca network and many of the products in AstraZeneca?s exciting pipeline will be launched from Sweden Operations over the next 3 years.
We are now searching for a Business Analytics Team Manager (BAT Lead) to shape and drive a team of Business Analysts across the site and globally. The team turns data into valuable information to support key site decisions and enables a rapid response to business opportunities in a changing business environment.
The Business Analytics Team is part of Sourcing & Supply within Sweden Operations. The BAT Lead will be part of the Planning, Business Analytics and Artwork leadership team and reports to the Head of Planning. The team will be working closely with the Global Supply Chain community to maximize business benefit.
The role
The main responsibility of the BAT Lead is to lead and develop the Business Analytics Team to reach planning excellence. On a daily basis he/she coaches the team and ensures that business decisions are based on strong science. The BAT Lead sets high standards and makes courageous choices.
The key aspects of the role are supply chain knowledge, information management and analytics and developing partnerships and collaborating across the organization. He/she works to understand impact of demand and supply variability, supply chain velocity on inventory and explores opportunities to improve supply chain performance, through KPI tracking and use of analytics. The BAT Lead keeps abreast of external trends in Data Analysis and shares best practice and knowledge with the team.
In addition, as a manager, he/she is accountable for people management, performance development as well as setting strategic agenda for the team. The person should drive a Lean agenda and continuously improve standards and processes.
Collaboration with other functions, sites, senior stakeholders and customers are of great importance, therefore communication skills are crucial and a key to success.

The position is located in Södertälje, Sweden.
Required Experience
Master's Degree in Supply Chain Management and/or Analytics related field (e.g. Industrial Engineering and Management, Operations Management, MIS, Computers Science, etc.), or Bachelor's degree with relevant work experience
Significant experience in Supply Chain Environment (Manufacturing, Planning, Inventory management, Supply Chain Management) including metrics
Project and change management experience
Experience in leading teams
