About the job As a business analyst at Analytics & AI you are expected to support our clients in business and financial problem definition, structuring, analysis as well as verbal and written communication of the end results. You would typically work as part of a cross-functional team consisting of business analysts, data scientists, as well as other business domain experts to research, develop and deliver on-demand innovative analytics and AI business applications. You will have a key role in ensuring efficient support and execution of prioritized strategic and tactical deliverables as part of Swedbank business objectives and overall wanted position, both addressing short-term business requirements and enabling advanced analytics discovery and research driven by long-term vision and strategic direction.
In this role you are expected to enable successful delivery of advanced analytics that maximizes business value, with topics ranging from retail sales and service to financial crime and internal efficiency. You will leverage data science to solve a broad set of complex business challenges on both a strategic and operational level, and translate data driven insights into decisions and actions. You will also be expected to facilitate knowledge sharing and cross-domain collaboration across the group, as well as proactively identify relevant high-potential areas for analytics and AI development.
What you need to succeed As an individual you are analytical and structured with a passion for problem solving preferably with a great deal of out-of-the-box thinking. You are knowledgeable in common concepts in analytics and data mining and should have the ability to communicate and collaborate effortlessly with both data scientists and business experts. You are comfortable in value argumentation, communication and presentation in English for senior stakeholders. You have an extensive toolkit of methods, tools and best practices to improve your personal, as well as the team's, efficiency and output.
In addition, we would like you to have:
Advanced knowledge in customer base/behavioural analysis
Advanced knowledge in business/financial analysis
Good knowledge of math/statistics
Good knowledge of agile methodology
Good knowledge of data science/advanced analytics/ai
Data management
Storytelling, written and verbal communication
Data visualization and presentation
What you may have worked with previously You have 3+ years of experience from management consulting, business/financial analysis, analytics/software development or similar and have a master degree in finance, statistics, mathematics, engineering or similar. Although it would be meriting, you don't need to have previous experience from banking however it is important to demonstrate successful track record of delivering high-profile projects.
Potential next steps in your career after this job This position provides excellent opportunities in leadership development within the cross-section of analytics/tech and business as well as improved understanding of underlying market and customer drivers. This can be leveraged later on in managerial roles or sales & marketing and/or product/service development or as project manager/product owner.
