We are now looking for a Brand Manager who can effectively support our consumer brand engagement across the Nordics that will enable us to fuel our journey towards a smoke-free future even faster.
About the role
If you have solid knowledge of building brands combined with a strong commercial understanding this is a great opportunity to work with your own assigned brand/s within our renowned brand portfolio in the Nordics.
As a Brand Manager you drive the business performance of the brand including responsibility for the P&L, Share of Market, and Product Margin. You will also design and develop the Brand Strategy for the Nordics to ensure commercial success. This means that you will have the overall responsibility for the brand and based on the brand position you will develop Brand Essence, Innovation pipeline, Design as well as Communication toolbox. You will cooperate with relevant markets to ensure integration into the market's deployment strategies as well as with Innovation team and external agencies.
Throughout the year you will continuously track and analyse brand performance vs targets and suggest initiatives to address business opportunities/issues and on annual basis develop Brand Plans to secure a future growth plan.
Main accountabilities:
• Analyse consumer needs, market dynamics and the assigned brand in order to define business opportunities/issues
• Develop Annual Brand Plans (1-3-year strategies) for the assigned Brand to drive future growth
• Develop clear position for the Brand aligned with overall brand portfolio and based on this develop Brand Essence, Communication idea, Design & Visual Identity
• Develop Brand product roadmap, (innovation, renovation and decomplex) in cooperation with Innovation team and market
• Develop the content and campaign/activation toolbox for assigned Brand and implement key campaigns/activations/PR etc. in cooperation with market(s)
• Monitor the performance of the Brand including Brand Funnel, Market Shares and P&L to understand strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and provide corrective measures
• Coordinate, align and co-develop with relevant markets within the Nordic cluster to secure integration of Brand plans in the market's deployment strategies
• Supervise Brand Pricing Strategy together with Senior Brand Manager and suggest appropriate actions
• Based on Brand plans propose and manage budget
• Build effective and efficient relationships with key partners in markets, Innovation Team and external agencies to achieve the Brand objectives
• Lead other commercial projects if so assigned
• Ensure compliance with policies and guidelines
Who you are:
• University degree in Marketing, Business Administration or similar
• Minimum 5+ years in Marketing, preferably in FMCG in an international environment
• Detailed experience of having successfully worked with brand building including Brand strategy, Brand plans, design, innovation and communication
• Proven experience of successfully transforming strategic insights into creative and commercial initiatives in branding, communication and consumer activation
• Experience of working with innovation/product development and the full chain from idea to final launch is beneficial
• Proficiency in English is required for this role. Knowledge of a Scandinavian language would be an asset
• Strong project management skills, structured and self-driven working style
• Good at stakeholder management and experience of creating cross-functional success
• Good financial understanding and experience with managing budgets
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Experience dealing with external agency partners
• Good strategic height and good analytical ability but can work with details when required
