Bill of Material (BOM) Engineer

For this role we are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented engineer with a genuine passion for engineering the best vehicles in the world. You will be working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial company, leading the way in the mega car business. You'll work alongside accomplished, world-renowned engineers on perhaps the most exciting automotive programs in existence today.

As a BOM engineer, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, ensuring accuracy and completeness of the Bill of Materials for our products.

You will review the packaging of robust, proven, and reliable products by identifying and document interferences within EBoM.

You will work with the entire vehicle to support and collaborate with cross functional project managers, system engineering groups, technical preparation and manufacturing engineering to ensure that all components are correctly specified for the BOM.

Responsibilities

- Create E-BOM (Engineering-BOM) structure, managing and maintain accurate Bill of Materials for responsible project.
- Collaborate with design engineers to ensure BOMs reflect current designs.
- Support conducting regular BOM audits to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Follow up to ensure BOM accuracy in ERP systems reflect engineering BOM.
- Support on prepare reports and presentations on BOM status.
- Support with release of product into production (3DX)
- Work with clash analysis and reporting to system owners.
- Review 3D models and assemblies for vehicle packaging.
- Work cross-functional with production, aftermarket, prototype, quality, manufacturing engineer, electrical, as well as CAE, and homologation department.
- Support on Vehicle weight management.
- Support on Spare part identification and tracking.
- Support on Virtual builds.

Need to have

- BSc in Mechanical Engineering. MSc preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teams.
- Ability to manage multiple task and priorities simultaneously.
- Design experience with CATIA V5, V6. 3DX preferred
- Experience with detail drafting and modeling.
- Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) tools.
- Interpersonal and communication skills.
- Professional level of English

Meritorious

- Experience in automotive design and manufacturing
- 2+ years of experience in BOM management or related role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel.
- Experience with vehicle packaging and clash analysis
- Experience with Geometric dimensioning and tolerance stack analysis.
- Experience with virtual builds.
- Understanding of technical concepts and federal safety standards and laws is advantageous.
- Experience in weight management and tracking.
