You now have a real possibility to contribute to core development within a transformational phase in Nasdaq history. In the role of Associate VP Core Development you will head a team of 10-12 technical developers, connected to the Nasdaq Financial Framework (NFF) - the very platform that is synonymous with Nasdaq global trading technology. As the AVP you are inward facing, i.e. you will interact and administer technical solutions to all development-teams connected to NFF. You will report directly to VP of Global Core Development.
You will, as a leader within Nasdaq, actively contribute to this fin-tech transformation by adhering to a more customized product approach, building on interchangeable technical components. Your input will aid in the technological advancements, underpinning the full-service offering strategy.
Join us on the exciting journey of transforming how tomorrow's markets are best served!
YOU WILL
You will be in charge of a senior team, their development trajectory, education, etc. in line with set goals and strategy. You hold a cost budget and will prioritize team members and their commitments in various projects. The team is involved in quarterly releases and are specialists in building high-performing components for the platform as well as solving broad algorithmic problems. As an AVP for this group, you work closely with Scrum as an acting Scrum Master and will coach the group according to the strategic roadmap. You are engaged in technical strategic discussions connected to customers and the technical platform, and in this you will foremost interact with architectural groups, product leaders and executive leadership groups.
YOU ARE
You are a seasoned technical professional of at least 15 years of experience. Your background is within development and you can still actively participate in discussions and make well-rounded decisions in the development sphere. Your move into management, a few years back, have given you a more holistic approach to development where you now have the ability to review individual contributions connected to the whole and integrate solutions from several sources. Given a java and c++ platform, it would be a plus if you appreciate a non-code specific environment - the broader development perspective is something you 'd consider advantageous.
Problem solving is second nature to you, you might even have held an architect-position at one time. It would be a merit if you have previous experience within a cloud-environment, e.g. leading an operations-team, or if you have experience from a product firm.
