Area Sales Manager Export
We are looking for a passionate Area Sales Manager to join our Export sales team. We are offering you a newly created position in which you will have the opportunity to be part of the process of expanding our export sales business to accommodate our growing product portfolio and international presence.
Mediplast is a well-established supplier of medical technology devices that takes pride in nurturing long-standing customer relations. Working as a team, you and your colleagues will be responsible for the international sales process. The geographical area you will cover focuses on those countries in Europe where we do not have local sales organizations. With a view to sustained long-term success, your role will include maintaining close relationships with customers and distributors throughout the territory. This means that your task will cover both strategic and operational sales work, including creating and implementing business plans for each product area and geographical region. You will be responsible for customer relations and for supporting our distributors through training and participation in trade fairs and conferences. With us, you have the opportunity to be involved in the entire sales process, which means that you will also handle agreements, pricing, and tenders.
Identifying new business opportunities through searching, contacting and evaluating potential new distributors and customers will be a focus area of your role, and you will be involved in launching and creating awareness of new products. You will have access to a broad network of contacts, with our Corporate Marketing team by your side as your in-house support and cooperation partner. In addition, you will work closely with our QA team in order to ensure that the correct technical and regulatory product data is released.
Your experience
You have strong commercial acumen and experience in international sales, preferably within the field of medical devices. As we operate mainly through distributors in the export sector, it will be to your advantage if you have experience in this type of business, and even more so if you have some experience in the health care industry. You are confident in building relationships and conducting negotiations with customers, and you have the ability to communicate on different levels - both internally and externally.
A degree in Business, Life Sciences, Marketing, Business Administration or other similar education would be relevant to this position, but we place more value on international sales experience and a "can do" mindset. You should have a pragmatic and hands-on attitude toward the sales process, both for existing business and market opportunities. An appreciation for and knowledge of how the sales process can be supported by digital tools is important for this position. To this end, you are competent in Microsoft Office and have knowledge of CRM Systems.
This position requires you to be proficient in business English and preferably also one or more European languages - such as German, French or Spanish. You will ideally be based at our Malmö office and able to travel 50-60 days per year.
