Would you like to be a part of the leading Nordic Loan franchise, working with Nordic blue-chip corporates and leading private equity funds, as well as institutional loan investors? We are now looking for an Analyst to join the team in Stockholm.
About this opportunity
Welcome to Nordea High Yield & Loan Syndicate. We are a pan-Nordic team of 5 individuals with an extensive reach thanks to the central nature of our role in any syndicated debt financing within High Yield, Leveraged and Corporate Loans. We collaborate closely with colleagues in Leveraged Finance, Debt Capital Markets and Debt Solution & Loans, as well as with team members in our Markets operation (sales/research/trading), and together we pitch, structure and bring to market appropriate financing solutions for our clients. Example transactions with a distribution element can include refinancings, leveraged buyouts, acquisition financings and general DCM transactions. The Analyst role is specifically focused on the loan product (across corporates and private equity) with the possibility to also focus on the high yield product over time.
We spend our time both pitching and executing on live transactions with the core of our job function being to understand, at any given point in time, what is possible with regards to raising debt financing in the market place from bank and institutional investors.
As the Analyst in High Yield & Loan Syndicate, you will become an integral and supportive part of our team's work with other Investment Banking units to manage and support syndicated debt raises. The role involves establishing communication channels with market participants and staying on top of market activity in order to bring unique market insights to the table. Our team aims to deliver on high work ethics and strong client focus together with a positive and non-hierarchal mindset, promoting all in the team to take on responsibility.
What you'll be doing:
* Learning about company credit analysis with a view of gaining an understanding of how to structure financing alternatives
* Staying updated on market developments, including primary credit markets (internationally and locally) and wider macro-economic drivers
* Maintaining and keeping market intelligence in a structured and organised way
* Building relationships with key market participants, including internal/external stakeholders such as international and Nordic banks and asset managers through e.g. regular market updates
* Developing key technical insights, including around structuring of relevant covenants and terms and pricing of such
* Developing key syndicate skillset, including how to manage a book-building process, interact with market participants
* Collaborating with a multitude of teams across the Nordea platform to foster idea generation -and ultimately execute on such

Your experience and background:
* Business school or University degree (Master's degree or equivalent work experience)
* First-rate communication skills in Swedish (or other Nordic languages) and English
* Relevant Loan product/DCM/Syndicate experience is an advantage, but not a strict requirement
