The Attribute Vehicle energy efficiency we are appr 35 engaged engineers within the attribute that have taken the challenge to both lower the CO2 level on all our vehicles but also to transform from focusing CO2 emissions to ensure best possible energy efficient vehicle as our focus to meet future demands for electrified vehicles. To focus energy efficiency in all our work. We are working to fulfill the targets set for future vehicles, to fulfill all legal requirements and market needs at the same time as focusing and learning from quality of current production at the right time and cost.
As part of the Coast down team you will do a strategic plan and perform coast down tests. The test analysis is important when the result is used as base for all emission and CO2 tests at Volvo car Group. When Volvo are transforming to an electrified car company the investments are relying on our ability to perform good and trust worthy result. The CO2 legislations around the world are constantly improving to ensure reduced climate changes and we all need to be a part of a continuously learning organization.
Main Responsibilities:
* Planning, execution and reporting of verification tests in wind tunnel, at our proving ground or during our expeditions
* Ensure viability of test vehicle status prior to tests
* Analyse test results and deliver recommendations to project leadership
* A speaking partner to other departments in coast down questions
* Read and understand the consequence from new legal requirements and implement those in new processes
* Developing and implementing new working procedures.
Required Qualifications:
* B.Sc Engineering
* Proficient with Microsoft Office Programs
* Fluent in English, written and spoken
* Driver's license B
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience of working with technical development
* Experience of working with technical analysis
Personal Qualities:
* Interested in and understand how the physics works in a car.
* Like to solve problems and improve deliveries
* Social with good networking skills
* Structured with ability to work independent as well as team player
* Personal responsibility to delivery in agreed time and with the right quality
* Open minded with a positive attitude
* Willing to share knowledge and experience with colleagues
