hela Sverige Do you want to be a part of shaping tomorrow's construction industry? As Advanced Engineering Program Manager you drive the work to build our future business and competence. Your task is to drive technical projects acting as chief project manager, and also in close co-operation with our highly skilled colleagues set out what projects to prioritise.
Advanced Engineering is a strategic function where we work to find our future technologies and business opportunities. We lead research projects in close co-operation with our talented engineers, we identify technology and market trends from which we develop a technology strategy and we secure public funded projects that support this strategy. We are a team of highly motivated project managers and researchers placed in 3 different continents.
The construction business is rapidly changing towards new sustainable and efficient solutions, within areas such as automation, electro-mobility and connectivity. Within AE we are driving this transformation, where new technologies need to be developed and new competence is built. In this role you will work in deep contact with our Advanced Engineering function as well as the rest of the R&D organisation within Volvo CE. Among your responsibilities you:
Identify and select AE projects together with Technology Planning Manager
Initiate and drive relevant advanced engineering projects
Work with Research Strategy Manager to identify possible external funding

Within Advanced Engineering we love challenges and we are convinced that change is an essential part of our work to drive improvements. For this you need to have a passion for working with continuous improvements. You are a good communicator and like working with people. You have minimum a Master of Science within Engineering, and several years of experience leading projects within R&D. It is advantageous with experience of working in international environments. Fluency in English is a must, written and spoken alike, Swedish is advantageous.
