The mission of Jönköping International Business School (JIBS) is to advance the theory and practice of business, with a specific emphasis on Entrepreneurship, Ownership, and Renewal. Three simple principles guide what we do: International at Heart, Entrepreneurial in Mind and Responsible in Action. JIBS offers a range of Bachelor and Master Programs in Business Administration, Economics, and Informatics. JIBS has 85 faculty members and 14 operations staff serve some 1.600 full-time students, including approximately 350 international exchange students. JIBS currently has 61 active PhD candidates.
WORKING TASKS
The Education Coordinator works closely with the Associate Dean of Education at JIBS, supporting her with various tasks and projects. The position includes responsibility for a diverse set of activities related to education at JIBS:
• representing JIBS in matters and projects to do with the central
support functions at Jönköping university, e.g. Marketing,
Educational support, and International office
• coordination of JIBS total production plan
• coordination of JIBS commissioned teaching
• coordination and organization of JIBS's teacher certification
seminars
• coordination of JIBS Programme Director Team
• handling internal and external surveys
• handling faculty and student queries concerning JIBS's education
and education organization
• supporting continuous quality development and accreditation
processes
The Education Coordinator is a member of JIBS Council for Undergraduate and Master Education (CUME) as well as the External relations group at JIBS.
QUALIFICATIONS
As applicant you should hold an academic degree (BSc, Msc, PhD) and have proven ability to work independently with qualified tasks with individual responsibility for delivery. You also need fluency in written and spoken English and Swedish, as well as proven ability to communicate and engage in successful collaboration with co-workers.
We appreciate experience from working in an international education environment or teaching in higher education. Other valued merits are project management, sales and collaboration with private, public and voluntary sector organizations.
INFORMATION
The position is a one-year substitute position. Starting date is to be agreed upon, but at the latest 15th of August, 2015.
