At Ringtail Interactive, we are consistently pushing the boundaries of what is possible for a small but fast-growing development team. We currently have three different departments working on a variety of projects; from a high-quality game platform for creators of all kinds, to a top-secret, cutting-edge game development tool that we believe will change the industry forever, and more.
The opportunity
As Accounting Manager, you'll play a key part in setting up a modern finance function for a growing company. Your tasks will vary from operational to strategic planning. As you'll take on the responsibility to ensure financial flows and qualitative financial reporting you'll work closely with both internal and external stakeholders.
The bookkeeping and accounting are currently outsourced, and you'll oversee securing and enabling timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close, including journal entries, reconciliations, follow up, reports, tax declarations, statistics, and overall maintenance of operational management accounts.
As you go on, you'll be part of implementing a new ERP system, writing structures and routines as well as insourcing the accounting. In doing so you'll be part of building up the team and a modern finance function focused on data.
Your tasks include but are not limited to:
Preparation of monthly financial reports, including the income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement.
Assist in preparing KPI, budgets and forecasts as well as ad hoc projects.
Develop and drive best practices within the finance function regarding financial control, compliance, and up-to-date accounting standards.
Be a key player when we move the monthly accounting close from outsourced to inhouse and build a modern finance function.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for an Accounting Manager with broad competence and a drive to work both strategically and operationally. A lot of things can be learned along the journey, but we need you to have experience of accounting, taxes and reporting according to K3 and/or IFRS, be able to oversee and handle the closings and the reporting. You have a good understanding of the financial flows and a can-do attitude where you are curious and looking for ways to improve the business.
You like the unknown, solving challenging accounting questions gets you excited, and you are brave, thorough, and positive in your work. If you have experience from implementing an ERP, insourcing accounting or Tech industry experience that is considered meritorious. With many different nationalities within the company, English is the company language, and in your work, you will also need to have a strong level of Swedish.

You have 4-7 years of relevant experience of working with accounting
You have proven ability to analyze data and interpret information effectively to improve processes continuously.
You are a social, communicative, open-minded, and ambitious team player. You take own initiatives and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
You can manage deadlines and you pay attention to detail and accuracy.
You can reflect on the impact of financial decisions for the business.
You are a proficient user of Microsoft Office 365, especially Excel.
About the position
The position is based in Stockholm but with a great flexibility to work part of your time remotely. Ringtail is currently looking for office space in Stockholm but as of now most of your work will be remote.
We are looking for someone long term and full time (100%). There will be a probation period of six months.

Ringtail Interactive is a fast-growing technology start up working in the games industry with an overall goal of creating an unrivalled server solution to the market for use within small and medium-sized enterprises. The team consists of a diverse group of experienced professionals from all around the world consistently pushing the boundaries of what is possible for a small development team. The company consists of two subsidiaries, Ringtail Games and Ringtail Technology.

Today we are about 90 employees. We are based in the central parts of Stockholm and are currently looking for office spaces.
