SW Developers for Radio Base Stations

RBS Applied Platform within PDU Platforms, develops SW for radio base stations for LTE, WCDMA and GSM standards, both for RBS6000 Generation 1 and 2. We are looking for Senior SW Developers that want to evolve the Radio Base Station into the future.

As a Software Developer you will work with the latest HW and operating systems such as Linux. To have the best product development environment, we constantly evaluate and prototype around new tools chains, test tools and quality enhancing activities.

Our products are involved in Radio network configuration and supervision. You will have the opportunity to work with large parts of the RBS architecture, and are expected to have a drive to constantly learn more.

You will be part of our team using Agile and LEAN methodology. We are looking both for technical specialist and people with leadership ambitions.

Main tasks:

• Work with product development of low-level embedded SW in the RU part of the RBS
• Participate from early studies to verification.
• Participate in predevelopment projects
• Design, implementation and quality assurance
• Work in close cooperation with other Ericsson units such as RA Radio, HW units, WCDMA, LTE and GSM.
• Act as an interface towards both national and international partners for technical issues

Qualifications:

• A Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Data Communication or equivalent academic degree is required.
• At least five years experience working with one or more of the following: embedded systems, LTE, WCDMA, HSPA, GSM, hardware design and real time software design.
• You must have SW experience of programming in C and/or Erlang.
• A strong theoretical ability and understanding the functionality of LTE/WCDMA/GSM networks is required.
• Fluency in English - both written and spoken - is essential.
