The Wholesale Director will be primarily responsible for driving sales and managing execution of our wholesale strategy to expand the brand's presence on a global scale. This is a dynamic, fast-paced and senior role reporting directly to the CEO of the company.

The Wholesale Director's responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Create and execute business plans and sales strategies for the development of the Axel Arigato brand.
• Lead by embracing our brand values. This includes the performance and development of you and your direct reports (Wholesale Managers, Wholesale -Coordinators), including: successful recruitment, onboarding, training, coaching, management and assessment of the team.
• Lead the day to day job and execution of the Wholesale Department work efforts including but not limited to sales periods, showroom, new launches
• Develop, execute and maintain overall wholesale, distribution, agency and expansion strategy.
• Set KPIs, seasonal budgets and roadmap strategy to ensure consistent achievement.
• Lead Wholesale Department team in their development.
• Work to accelerate shop in shops and franchises openings.
• Work to accelerate partnership, agencies and distributor relationships.
• Establish showroom locations and set-up; including coordination of freelancers, recruiting and general management.
• Oversee showroom invitations and schedule sales appointments.
• Oversee orders and ensure consistency of branding + commerciality throughout sales efforts.
• Lead the analysis of customer experience, sell-through data and feedback with clients, making appropriate recommendations
Contact for key accounts.
• Partner with Production Department on commercial terms, discrepancies, reorders, returns and samples requests.
• Partner with Finance Department to neogitate payment terms and collections.
• Be an ambassador for the Axel Arigato brand with an ability to understand how to best communicate the traits of the brand.

The ideal candidate will be a driven, analytical and with a good understanding of of fashion industry dynamics. This role will lead the Wholesale department and be in charge for all wholesale related questions including partners, agencies and distributors. Leading the work for the wholesale life cycle; pre-season analysis, assortment planning, trend analysis, sales prognosis, follow up seasonal performance and planning for upcoming seasons. Everything to maximize sales, brand recognition and new oppurtunites for the Axel Arigato brand.

Qualifications

• 5 + years' experience working in global sales management; luxury and high-end experience preferred.
• Established industry working relationships.
• Familiarity negotiating contracts.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Proactive, product-forward focus.
• Experience managing and developing team of direct reports.
• Exceptional time management skills, including the ability to prioritize, manage and meet multiple deadlines.
• Highly organized with a strong attention to detail.
• Results driven, energetic and resourceful.
