Senior Category Buyer with Analytical skills - Purchasing Global Logistics

To our Global Procurement Logistics Team, we are now looking for an experienced senior buyer with a strong analytical skill set. The responsibility covers the purchasing of road transport, why experience in Logistics is meritorious, and experience in conducting complex analyses and handling large data sets is key.
What you will do
By joining us, you will be a key player in establishing the supply chain and partnerships needed to transform the automotive industry to an electrified and sustainable future.
Your main responsibility will be to lead sourcing initiatives and manage commercial relationships with suppliers and stakeholders. The right candidate has ideally a background within procurement or related supply chain services and also experience in project management and successfully driving complex sourcing projects.
Your key tasks
• You will maximize Volvo Cars total value of ownership for your assigned commodity
• You will support the development of the sourcing strategy and based on set targets manage the day-to-day activities for your assigned commodity
• You will develop and maintain commercial relations with suppliers and stakeholders
• You will lead/support cross-functional sourcing projects including activities of; preparation, execution, analysis, handling of large data, negotiation, supplier selection, and contract signing.
Do you fit the profile?
You have a relevant university degree in finance, engineering, supply chain management, or equivalent work experience.
You have minimum 3 years of experience working in a global organization driving complex procurement projects.
You have experience in conducting complex analyses comprising large data sets including advanced Excel skills.
You are fluent in English, written and spoken.
Experience working with purchasing systems Coupa is preferred.
