At the moment we are looking for the right person to fill an opening within our Product Concepts & New Ideas team.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
We constantly need to increase our capacity to support and improve our products on the market. Within our organization, Product Concepts & New Ideas, we have two fundamental tasks:
• Generation of new great technical/product ideas and concepts for future products.
• Show proof of concept and drive acceptance of an idea or concept towards technology and product development. This can be everything from simple test of existing parts in a new application to novel advanced product prototype design.
We are looking for a practical engineer with visions and ability to imagine new features and products in the next coming years in the area of network video. Typical tasks will be prototyping in the area of low level SW e.g. device drivers, video coding technology etc. Equally important to the pure technical tasks is actively contributing in the ideation phase for new products and technologies.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We believe you are an open-minded problem solver with a creative mind-set and that you possess genuine technical curiosity. You are communicative and have an easy going attitude. It’s important that you have the ability to switch between “the big picture†and details and that you are able to define and drive activities/projects without supervision.
In addition to above we believe you have:
• A Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or similar.
• Proven experience of C/C++ development in a Linux environment.
• Experience of early/conceptual development of embedded software/hardware projects.
• Experience of developing for embedded operating systems.
• Knowledge in microprocessor and computer architecture.
• Knowledge of real time and low-level software development such as device drivers.
• Fluent English both verbally and written.
PRODUCT CONCEPTS & NEW IDEAS TEAM
Product Concept and New Ideas mission is to bring new products within video products to the market. To do this in an efficient way we are a unit with a broad set of competencies with the ability to design and implement new product prototypes. The purpose is to get a good understanding of a new product idea before entering product development.
We collaborate with Product Managers, Business Development Managers as well as different disciplines within Axis R&D organization.
