We are looking for a software developer to join our Core Technologies Media team.
ABOUT CORE TECHNOLOGIES MEDIA
Technology development is the first stage of Axis Product development cycle and aims at understanding and influencing what users within the surveillance market want and need in the future. Core Technologies Media is responsible for developing and maintaining the media software platform in our network cameras and by providing competence and a technology base within video and audio we enable Axis to efficiently develop innovative and highly competitive products and features.
We are now strengthening the team with a software developer that can take the role as video engineer . As part of a rather small team your work will have large impact. Among other things you will:
Be part of investigations and implementations to strengthen future video delivery solutions.
Be part of developing our platforms from idea to product.
Understand and monitor trends, customer demands and new video initiatives, this to be able to take the correct long-term decisions.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are now looking for a person that are curious, positive and have an open mindset. You have a strong technology interest and you like to find innovative solutions on tough challenges even if it is outside your comfort zone.
We think you are a software developer with experience within embedded software development. As video is our primary focus it is beneficial, but not a must, if you have experience with video encoding and/or video streaming.
You preferably have a master's degree in computer science, physics, electrical engineering or similar.
