Purpose

The Video Content Creator is responsible for editing trailers and video content to achieve the final creative vision set forward by the Creative Lead and Marketing Project Manager.

Role Details

As a Video Editor you are a storyteller who is able to craft a visually compelling and engaging video asset that puts our games at the center of the stage. You make sure the message comes across regardless of format; from short social media videos to long form trailers.

You will be creating a wide range of video assets that supports our marketing efforts, from short social media assets to trailers. You will work on multiple game projects developed by both self-published divisions; Expansive Worlds and Systemic Reaction.

This role is supported by the Creative Marketing Lead and the Marketing Project Manager to whom you will turn to for creative direction and prioritization, but you will also work closely with the Product Marketing Managers for each title along with our artists and video editors in your day to day work.

Responsibilities

• Creating high quality video assets for a variety of online channels.
• Record and capture game footage for the asset you are working on, ranging from short video to longer trailers.
• Handling post-production including editing, color correction and compression for final delivery.
• Work closely with marketing, other artists, and key stakeholders to address edit notes.
• Create motion graphics involving typography, photography, video and animation.
• Keeping project files organized, clean and properly labeled.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years experience in video production and editing in the games industry - or adjacent industry.
• Experienced in using capturing tools (Shadowplay, Elgato or similar) and video editing software (Final Cut Pro, Premiere, After Effects etc).
• Able to identify fresh, exciting ideas for gameplay videos and turn them into video assets.
• Strong time management skills, able to create quality content on schedule in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects at the same time and to follow creative briefs.
• Passionate about video games in general and able to identify trends within gaming video content.
• Expertise and experience in delivering motion graphics.
• Experience with color correction and compression
• Fluent in English

Desirable

• Experience working with an open world game engine.
• Interest in action games and outdoor pursuits is a bonus.
• Knowledge of sound design and audio post production is a bonus
