Were currently looking for a copywriter to our Content Curation Team, for a period of 12 months (parental leave) to join our office in Stockholm starting February 2019. THE POSITION
Viaplay is all about creating moments that matter for our customers, may it be moments of joy, thrill, compassion or just moments of relaxation. In the Content Curation team, its our job to help our customers find content that will create a captivating experience. As a copywriter in our team, you will be working with what is at the heart of Viaplay: our movies and series.
THE CHALLENGE AHEAD
Your main responsibility will be to create texts that dazzle our users. You will play an important role in how we present our content: both on site and in the service. Part of this means writing large volumes of capturing synopses for our movies and series.
When we receive the synopses from the studios, you will be the person who edits the texts so they match Viaplays tone of voice. You will also be creating taglines for the content (movies and series) and ensure that Viaplays tonality always shines through.
Key areas:
• Produce large volumes of capturing synopses and taglines for our movies and series
• Write and implement tonality within our product and collaborate closely with our Product and Design Team.
• Write synopses, taglines and other copy for our Viaplay Originals.
• Handle administrative tasks e.g. ordering and distributing translations.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We think that you have a couple of years of work experience within copywriting, journalism, creative writing or similar. Youre a strong driver in the power of words and your writing skills are stellar. Verbal tonality is in your DNA and you have a nerdist passion for language and grammar.
As a person, we think youre driven and engaged, and a team player whos not afraid to work independently. You understand the importance of research and analysis, but never lose your flair for creativity.
You need to:
• Have a post-secondary education within communications, copywriting, journalism or similar
• Have a great understanding of media, digital products, and the current communication landscape
• Have an easy-going attitude and be a self-driven and humble team player with great organizational skills
• Fluent in Swedish and English, with excellent written Swedish
