Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR) aims to bridge commercial aspiration with
sound scientific evidence, by providing evidence that will enable AstraZeneca to
be the industry leader in achieving market access at optimal price. We
are now seeking candidates for a Value Demonstration Leader (VDL) position,
located within the AstraZeneca Global HEOR group, Clinical R&D. The therapeutic
area covered is cardiovascular. The Role: A VDL is a senior
level role planning the strategy, research and communication programs for health
economics and patient-reported outcomes research. This is a vital and important
role that provides important career opportunities for individuals seeking to
demonstrate the value of pharmaceutical products. The VDL is accountable for
delivering product value demonstration into the clinical and commercial plans,
and is responsible for leading a group to successfully plan, implement, and
communicate the evidence supporting product value. This senior role
will be a functional part of Health Economics & Outcomes Research and will need
to demonstrate leadership and collaboration with a number of key clinical and
commercial functions within AstraZeneca. The VDL will also have a major role in
shaping the development research agenda to implement a product's value strategy
and meet evidence requirements within the health care reimbursement community.
Minimum Experience / Requirements: You need to have an
advanced degree in Health Economics, Behavioural Science, Health Policy, Health
Services Research, Epidemiology, Medicine or related field. Required
are also several years of experience from the pharmaceutical industry or related
business and demonstrated value research expertise. We develop our
products in international project teams, where proficiency in oral and written
communication in English is required. Preferred Experience /
Requirements : A strong scientific and business drive and ability to
work interactively in international teams characterized by transparency,
sharing, mutual respect and empowerment is fundamental to be successful within
AstraZeneca. Additional requirements are broad knowledge of
international healthcare systems and their needs for value evidence, people
management experience and excellent influencing skills. More
